Chris Sick, AKA “The Voodoo Doodler”, is a professional illustrator and graphic designer, mainly working for the music business, gigs and bar trade. He takes his influences from B-movie posters, 1950s illustrators such as Jim Flora, Cliff Roberts, Saul Bass and Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, pulp novels and horror comics. He loves typography and particularly hand lettering.
In his spare time, he’s also a DJ of ‘50s surf, ‘60s garage punk 45s in and around Brighton, as well as the occasional ’40s swingin’ jazz 78, and he also puts on gigs such as the infamous “STAY SICK” nights.
