Dylan is an Edinburgh based hand-screenprinter and mixed-media artist. His current work focuses on images of ‘postcard’ locations and collaged vintage images, playfully reimagining iconic landmarks around the UK and modern pop culture imagery and iconography.
Using a range of techniques and materials including stencilling, spray-paint and silk screen printing, his works are short-run editions, often with each work being a varied edition piece and an entirely unique, original work.
His works reference shared cultural landmarks, people, events and the current preoccupations we find ourselves pondering through mainstream and social media
His techincal approach focusses on the graphic geometries of images, experimenting with registry points, and playing with different media to bring together compositions as a series of colour blocks and textural elements.
