Richie
Phoe cut his teeth on the graffiti scene in Southend many years ago,
but has since cleaned up his act, moved to Brighton, and now balances
his time between music (as a well-respected dub producer and DJ) and
his visual art practice.
Most recently, his work has focussed on a flat aesthetic drawing style that lends itself towards tattooing as well as looking great on his favoured printing medium – the risograph print.
His
subjects frequently include skeletons, but always suggest the irony
and comic absurdity of the modern, urban life experience.
