Victoria Kaplan is a Brighton-based artist originally from Scotland. She has swapped her pen and ink medium for digital, most frequently employing her illustrative style in monochrome line forms.
She says of her “Windows” series shown at CONCLAVE for Group Show 2: “The theme of my current work explores the idea of windows of time: chanced opportunities, actualised or passed by.”
Her images predominantly revolve around the theme of love; reflecting its many forms. Through captured moments – real or metaphorical – her work is both poetic and relatable.
For the BRIGHTON: PLACES, SPACES & FACES show, Kaplan presents works from her “Marvel-lous Brighton” in which comic-book characters take a holiday break in the city…often getting up to no good!
