Andrea Harz

Harz has a long-established background in ceramics but has transferred her love of bright colour and flowing pattern to 2D work recently.

Her work starts with instinctive, organic, pen and ink linework on paper, and is then transformed in digital media to take on the psychedelic colours that are her trademark.

Semi-abstract – but always with a story and background of implied motifs and narrative – her works have a sense of flowing rhythm, musicality and euphoria that have earned her fans in high places: her work “Smiley Observational” was selected by Norman Cook (aka. Fatboy Slim) to be part of his curated group show “Smile High Club” in June/July 2019.
