Carl Smith graduated from Kent Institute of Art and Design in 1996 where his work developed from bright, vibrant gouache and pen-and-ink illustrations, into screen print and finally into a digital art obsession (which led to 18 years with Fujifilm as a Colour & print consultant)
Carl’s style developed to provide drawn lines to support screen printing but his influences are wide-ranging: compulsive doodling, graffiti, street art, robots, people, alternative culture, and those little mundane moments of human interaction that flash by us every day.
Carl produces works pounce off walls with their vibrant, punchy, fresh and quirky visuals.
