Flo Snook

The UK has more coastline than Brazil or India: we have so many islands, inlets and estuaries that our shoreline outranks both these countries, and this fact fascinates Flo Snook and has directed her artistic output for many a year!

Flo has developed a unique way of capturing her relationship to the British coastline in her work; using a mix of silkscreen, appliqué and hand stitching, she recreates her sketchbook pen drawings onto fabrics, as well as large scale acrylic paintings onto wood. The result is a strong, graphic and contemporary portrayal of recognisable coastal landscapes.
