James Heginbottom

James is a Brighton-based artist and illustrator who creates images around themes of literature, poetry, magic, the occult, witchcraft, death and the macabre.

He uses a mix of digital and analogue collage techniques to create imagery combining paper, found imagery and textures.

Whilst his work exudes a cool, vintage glamour, this is offset and contrasted by a dadaist/surrealist intervention to the narrative, providing an alternative interpretation on past scenarios and practices .
