Mass Roman

Mass Roman is a Brighton-based artist and illustrator, specialising in dark, futuristic images of an alternative reality.

Inspired by a childhood reading 2000AD and a love of illustration, especially the covers of science fiction books, he developed a taste for futuristic, abstract and surrealist art, which was central to the development of his own style.

Showing us visions of dystopian cities and the path of malevolent tech towards a catastrophic scene of consequences, Mass’s work is evocative of the Cyberpunk Sci-Fi futures of William Gibson, Phillip K Dick and JG Ballard.

He has worked as an illustrator for various record companies, and continues to work in animation, music and sound design projects (including award-winning short film, Black Shore)
