Phil Lawson

Phil Lawson is a stencil-artist working with spraypaints from his creative bubble that is bursting from the fires of “Mount Croydoom”

His works most often feature human subjects: a view into the complexity and contradictions of modern life – of freedoms vs responsibility, of imagined priorities and fictional values – of a world in social media that leads us into strange decisions and strange behaviours….

His works are layered more times than he can remember, and are typically bright and zappy affairs that contrast photo-realism with digital surrealism, with a hefty pinch of cyberpunk and William Gibson-esque future dystopian vibes.
