Sukey Booth

Sukey Booth graduated with a Fine Art (Critical Practice) degree from Central St. Martin’s College of Art & Design in 1998, and has been practicing in Brighton on-and-off in the intervening years.

She practices in a wide-range of media, from installation, collage, mixed-media, sculpture and photography. Recently, she has started to introduce functioning electrical circuits into her work (part of the perks of her side hustle as a trained sparky!)

From 2018-2023, she was the Gallery Director at Conclave Brighton, curating more than 20 group shows, and introducing Brighton’s residents and visitors to nearly 200 artists, and thousands of their artworks. She created an immersive installation work “Disorientation & [F]loss” as the closing show for the Queens Road gallery’s basement venue/events space.

She likes cats, vintage stuff, cutlery, and writing about herself in the third person.
