Dr Will Houstoun

Dr Will Houstoun is a professional conjurer with a PhD in Victorian Conjuring Literature, and a Member of the Inner Magic Circle (MIMC)…we can’t say that about too many of our artists!

By day, he specialises in creating magic effects for film, theatre and TV, manipulating the power of visual illusion and human perception. This fascination with the impact of the visual has led him into his current printmaking practice.

He’s currently working on “Tragic Magic”: a series of linocut prints which re-imagines well-known historic magic posters with a contemporary, humorous, twist.
