Love live music? Us too! Sofar Sounds is a global music community that connects artists and audiences through live music, bringing people together in unusual spaces in 400 cities around the world!

How does it work?

3 UNANNOUNCED ARTISTS: Each Sofar features different musical styles and you won’t know who’s performing until they take the stage. Once they do, you just might fall in love.

1 UNEXPECTED SPACE: From museums and boutiques, to rooftops and private homes, Sofar keep the location secret until the day before the show (so, keep it schtumm! 🤫🤐)

A DIFFERENT WAY TO SEE LIVE MUSIC. The Sofar Community creates an inclusive space where music matters so that you can get lost in the performance and enjoy the magic of live music.

BRIGHTON FRINGE FESTIVAL: Mindful Iris

BRIGHTON FRINGE FESTIVAL: Mindful Iris

BRIGHTON FRINGE FESTIVAL: Mindful Iris

The iris is a symbol of wisdom, hope, trust and valour. All good qualities to look for in a song.

Songs have been chosen for possible insights and advice about mental well-being. The overall message is uplifting – songwriters are constructive about your mental health!

We will sing and talk about songs encouraging supportive relationships, social physical activities, arts and craft and creative work, and music itself. We’ll ponder the benefits of smiling, singing, sisterly compassion, touch, knitting, walking, acceptance, connection, nurturing, painting, and dancing! It’s not an exhaustive list!

So, one hour of gentle acoustic music – just voice and guitar. A little talk about the poetry, wit and wisdom within the lyrics. No demands. You can just listen and enjoy. It should be an upbeat experience.

Any profits will go to the charity Mind www.mindcharity.co.uk

Mindful Iris is Anna (vocals) and Ian (acoustic guitar)
